Legitimately wrong
Most boomers have no idea how to take care of their hair. My mum has fried hair she ofc straightens every day with an iron and that's legitimately how she expected me to take care of my curls.
Most curly girls learn this by themselves. Because society hates curly hair.

I don't think that's true.

I will say that it takes time to learn to care for your hair, especially if it's curly or kinky textured. It took me years to get it right. It'd be unsurprising to me if that was yet another thing some trans people have to play catch-up with.

Curly hair is horrendous and people with it shouldn't reproduce. Every day I wake up and wish I had naturally straight hair. Frying it is genuinely a small price to pay for looking slightly more like a person

Babes I feel you :(
I blow dry and iron when I can. Personally I like the waves I get when straightened hair is going back to being curly. But my ACTUAL curly hair reminds me of my brother.

You don’t have to FRY your hair to keep it nice and smooth tho

I use:
>Color wow supernatural spray dream coat
>IGK mistress hydrating hair balm
>Pureology color fanatic leave-in
>Aveda damage remedy
>Garnier fructis frizz tamer
>bristle brush and barrel brush
>blow dryer with a focus nozzle

same reason they suck at makeup and accessorizing outfits. cis women learn to do this when theyre 10 and they get taught by their mom, tranners have to do it publicly in their 20s and they get taught by youtube videos.

>idk maybe try that curly girl method thing my daughter talked about
I have ridiculously thick, dry, slightly wavy hair
I'll keep trying new things but the hard thing is finding advice from someone who has the same hair type as you

get japanese permanent hair straightening. you only have to redo it every 6-9 months, and also it looks natural a few days/months after its done. also, since you have curly hair, you have the advantage of having curly outgrown volume on top of your head to compliment the straight hair, making your hair look thicker. just hope you have a facial structure that compliments straight hair

This. I have beautiful 2c-3a hair with minimal maintenance and strangers compliment me on it. Just shampoo and conditioner and then brush style when it’s wet and it looks good.
tighter curl patterns are nigger shit.

Did a Japanese straighting like 3 years ago just because I wanted less maintenance but honestly I didn’t like how much less volume I got vs just spending time blowing out my hair straight.

you probably have thin hair/less follicles then, or it didnt work well on your face. i could never blowdry my hair even remotely straight unless i went to a professional. either my hair is so dense and numerous i cant blowdry it, or you dont have hair as curly as mine.

I dont
I try hard my hair routine and skin care every morning and night
This is my daily stuff

I shower daily, shampoo three times a Week and conditioner daily.
At night always.
I use moroccan oil along with leave on conditioner and tree oil

I also use a bonnet to sleep.

Skin care is insane for me as i use
Toner
And serum
Along with vaseline moisturizer face masks and sunscreen.

I used to use tretenoin as well.

I’ve been blowing out my hair straight since I was 15 so I’ve just learned how to do it, helps that my mum was a beautician. I have dense, fine hair tho.
