I used to dress very normal, just sweaters and pants with some jewelry, but for the past year or so I’ve caught myself dressing more and more “alt”. I mostly prefer a sorta punk style, but even out of that clothes I like to wear clothes I’ve DIYed. I’ve noticed that ever since I started dressing more odd I’ve gotta a lot more attention from women. Which is great, I love being told I’m beautiful as much as the next girl but I’m only into guys so I wonder if they like it more too? Im for the most part stealth (as far as I know) and I’m no model but I’m def not ugly. I know there are men into me but I’m kinda curious if it scares away more men than it attracts.
I don’t plan on changing how i dress either way, it’s too much fun, but it’d be cool to know.

Honestly most guys I’ve dated have been pretty normal. I don’t think I have much of a type. I don’t feel attraction often and when I do there seems to be little pattern. I mean I like alt guys because I like that they’re into fashion and good music but it’s far from a requirement. As far as looks go the guys I’ve been into enough to date looked pretty average honestly. Like sure I think a wide chest, or body hair, or a deep voice is really hot but those things are more of a bonus than a requirement.
What I really want at the end of the day is a man who is kind and passionate and at least average looking (but desu that’s a soft requirement)

I also love punk stuff but ultimately i lean much more towards a 90s grunge aesthetic which goes with cottagecore really well.

Alt is fine... it could confuse people as to if you're a transwoman or some guy, though, as "alt" is close to male fashion but usually much more developed and full of feminine details.

I worry about it making me clockier because of how queer alt fashion is. I’m a luckshit I guess, I haven’t (KNOWINGLY) been clocked in a while so I’m not super worried. But honestly so far it just makes people think I’m a gay or bisexual woman which isn’t what I’m going for but it’s whatever lol

This style is perfect if you want to attract more guys, it's a good mix between alt and normal, personally, it feels more approachable than >>40605516 for various reasons.
Also hell yeah for DIYed clothes, i'd love to talk to a girl that makes her own stuff, it's so attractive.

This is kinda what I feared. I’m not gonna change how I dress since it’s honestly really improved my mental health, but I figured I might be scaring some guys off. I’m tall, I wear punk clothes, lots of black, one of my exes said that I was scary to approach and that was before I even started dressing like this lol. I might calm it down when I get tired of it but for now I think it’s worth the price of less male attention (as much as I’m desperate for it lol)

Gotta add that while i wouldn't USUALLY approach a dark, punk alt girl, if she were to just give me a clear sign of interest, then hell i'd roll with it and even shoot my shot first. So keep dressing however you want, be confident, and maybe when you see a guy that you fancy, hold his gaze, smile a bit or nod, don't be afraid to give us a clue girl!
