anons i need advice, ive been on t for over a year but i havent come out to my grandparents. theyve commented on my voice dropping so idk how much they know. should i ask them to call me by my new name and pronouns or just tell them im trans and say i dont expect anything? i dont want to be misgendered obviously but i want to minimize the likelihood of it going poorly. i feel like if i dont ask them to change anything theyre more likely to be okay with it. theyre really liberal for their age and backgrounds, recently elon musks daughter got brought up in conversation and they didnt misgender her or say anything bad so i dont think theyre transphobic at least. its nerve wracking though because im really close with them and it would hurt a lot if they reacted poorly.
