That's just a westoid problem. Even western cis women can't cook for shit, when I watch how some of my female friends from the US, UK, Germany cook, I can't help, but think that if my grandma saw that, she'd slap them on the hands with a wooden spatula. Bitches leave like 1/5th of a potato after they're done "peeling".

You're a bad cook, not me. Ever since I was a kid I always helped my mom and grandmother around the kitchen and later cooked for the family and later myself or my ex (that had many food allergies so I had to be a bit more creative then).
But it's also central/eastern Europe and not the western world so things here might be a little different I guess.
That video was painful to watch tho

Is that actually a tranny cause I saw it get posted on /ck/ and nobody had a troon meltdown so I assume it's a documented cis woman. But I'm reasonably comfortable in the kitchen and I can decent meals from just whatever is around without a recipe. This seems like more of a dull knife issue, and I can't imagine what recipe would require the carrots to be cut in half length wise, so maybe it's also an inexperience with a knife issue. There is definitely a loss of basic culinary skills in the American public as making meals at home is simply a luxury people's families can't afford.

okay to be fair I could be talking out of my ass as I grew up middle/upper class, and I would really like to read more about this. Here is what I would imagine the situation looks like for the working poor in America:

The minimum wage has not kept up with the cost of living requiring you to work 50-60 hours plus a week. Usually these people work in hospitality where they add two part time positions together. This creates inconsistent working hours sometimes making it hard to schedule grocery trips or even keep fresh food around your house. America has a huge rural population so the length of time to travel to the grocery store and back can be up to two hours. It is much more appealing to make a quick stop at that fast food restaurant that is on your way home or maybe just buy 10 frozen dinners at the grocery store and not bother with the whole thing. When you grow up in a family like this as a child you don't develop the knowledge of the 15 minute quick baked fish recipes that you and I know and just keep going to the ten minute fast food place. Situation gets worse with the Zoomers who are more likely to be single these days making the cost per time analysis of making food at home even worse. Again I don't have any data to present, but if I could find a working poor person who lives in the places I am thinking of, which I have visited, I can imagine they might provide reasons along these lines for why they don't cook at home, if they don't.

I'm sorry are you the euro anon? I know this is just a shitposting thread making fun of some streamer so forgive me but I think it is in fact low IQ to simply call people stupid and shrug your shoulders. Sociological analysis can help us understand problems and solve them. Cooking a basic meal is not something that requires great intelligence. Why would you argue from the position that people are innately hopeless? How does that help humanity?

Anyway here is a modern article I found from looking around the internet.
https://news.ncsu.edu/2019/03/why-home-cooking-isnt-possible-for-everyone-and-what-we-can-do-about-it/
It actually mentions a few of the things I thought about originally so I don't think the reasons I came up with are fantasized at all.

I mean sure I do accept that position. Some people simply cannot achieve a high school diploma. Some people are simply going to be poor and work shitty jobs, I am not that much of a head-in-the-clouds idealist. I just don't believe we should throw our hands up and accept that their lives should be full of suffering because of that. I think most people would choose to sit around a table and eat a meal they prepared with their family if they could because they are human and that feels good.

maybe not. What were they cooking in this? If you were making any stew type dish you wouldn't cut them like this. If it's some kind of baked good I would boil and puree the carrots probably. Roasted carrots then? I guess I would chop the carrots crosswise into 2 inch chunks before cutting in half lengthwise.

if you want to be good at cooking have the time (some anons made good points abt why less people cook now), you can literally just do that. follow easy recipes over and over incorrectly until you can do them correctly, and then harder recipes until you get a feel for it and can start making rlly good stuff without needing a recipe. not everyone can be gordon ramsay but anyone can be a very good cook just by practicing. when i met my gf years ago i could barely cook eggs because nobody liked me enough as a kid to teach me, and i was embarrassed, so i just put in the time and learned, now im a pretty great cook. its very fulfilling to see someone eat something youve cooked and enjoy it, even at my most anorexic i would constantly cook for my gf and just not eat

I mean generally yes. Not Walmarts but many smaller grocery stores similar in size to a fast food restaurant. US has something like that: Dollar General. And it's not exactly doing great work delivering fresh groceries to Americans for a variety of reasons that you can read about if you want. Dollar general is one of the most profitable stores in rural America, which really makes you think.

For fun you can go to their website and put together a homecooked meal plan:

No produce section and I can't find herbs and spices. I actually think I could make it work. This sort of how cheap can I make it game is appealing to my autism tbqh, maybe I will try it one day. I used to do the same thing with how few calories I can eat per day. Is throwing it all into a crockpot or casserole really developing "cooking skills" tho?

if you have to add butter to everything you cook to make it good, then you aren't good at cooking. you should be able to cook all types of food, from heavier meals for special occasions to lighter healthy fare that is still satisfying for every day eating. I would argue that the latter is much more difficult to pull off consistently.

Not reading this thread just dropping some cooking tips that will make you all less embarrassing.
1. Make all the food pieces roughly the same size so they cook at the same rate, and you won't have bits that are burned or undercooked compared to the rest.
2. To keep food from sticking to your fry pan, heat the pan FIRST to the point where if you splash some water droplets, they evaporate immediately. Then once you put the food in it,don't touch the food for a while and it will pop off by itself. Then you can turn it over.
2.5. If you fry some meat and have meat scrap shit left all over the pan, fry some veggies after and they'll clean it up for you.
3. You can either cook things for a short amount of time at high heat, or a longer amount of time at lower heat. Longer at lower heat will make better meat dishes. Also just toss some water in the bottom of the baking sheet, it makes everything work better.
4. Bacon grease or fat is always better than oil and makes your food taste more like a restaurant. Unless the recipe is Italian and calls for olive oil. Olive oil is good. Other oil is trash.
5. Just buy a mixer if you're gonna be doing any doughs, trannies don't have the arm strength or stamina for mixing long enough to get the proper consistency.
6. Avoid meme kitchen gadgets. Stick to the basics. Big spoon. Spatula. Pot. Pan. Tongs. No hamilton beach breakfast sandwich maker type shit. If it sounds convenient, it actually just takes up space and takes forever to clean when you do use it.
7. Sharpen your knives properly. If the food is squishing under the knife it's dull. It should just glide right through. A tomato is a good test. You should be able to slice the tomato without squeezing all the stuff out of it. Similar to meme gadgets, you only really need like two big knives. Serrated for meat and bread, and straight for everything else.

let me guess, carbs are poison too?
I can hear the lack of glucose scraping its way through your rusty neural pathways you dumbfuck fad drone.
Go swallow more protein powder and supplements.
You are the exact sort of retards that were prancing around in the 90s yelling about spice being unhealthy and boiling raw ass chicken, because you're such a smart little retard, yes you are. Much smarter than the other boys and girls, so long as all your theories are untested and there's no consequence to the dumb shit you spout. None of you drywall crunching newts have any valid education as a dietician ergo your opinion isn't even dirt, because dirt can grow something of value, unlike your decroded brown matter.

cant you just buy a big bag of pasta, some frozen mixed veggies, passata and some kinda meat (chorizo can make pasta taste really yummy and stores in the pantry for like half a year, but its a processed meat, im sure 'muricans have some equivalent). all of this stuff will last months if kept in proper condition
you dont HAVE to be eating fresh stuff to stay healthy

Yeah this is all my coworkers. Dumb bastards have $700-900 monthly truck payments, child support/alimony, pay more for a toolbox than some people pay for a car, smoke, drink, eat out 10x per week, buy lottery tickets, and have the gall to complain they can't afford anything. Meanwhile I make them seethe just by existing because I'm not retarded, and thus have disposable income on the exact same paycheck.
