That sounds like a narcissist's idea of godhood and its so baffling to me how more cis people dont find this mega sus.

Why would anything good desire praise and loyalty from beings into forced into existence.
And if those little clay creatures dare defy the great god they shall be cast into eternal suffering!

If god exists in everything then the point is to love the world we live in and by extension ourselves, but also the conditions necessary for us to exist as we do. Whats wrong with that?

I feel like god is described more like an entity that created everything rather than something that resides in everything.

If god has a will then desiring worship is evil.
If god doesnt have a will then how can it punish?
Its defined by what it does, whether its in one thing or a trillion it doesnt change the fact it wants recognition and worship.
I dont see any of the other elements in nature getting all uppity in my face about how important they are

Yeah most organized religion is just a system of control and exploitation but its derived from much more sensible esoteric teachings that npcs are too simple to understand. Religion isnt wholly evil, but it can be. Some people need the fear of eternal damnation to not rape and murder.
