I already live in brisbane.
60%+ of my income goes to a shitty apartment. I cannot access most of the city because public transport here sucks and I cannot afford a car. There are also very few transpeople here outside of university kids. Oh, and like have the city is prone to flooding + summers are torture.
As soon as I can convince my friend to move to Melbourne with me, I'm out of here.

Brisbane has some nice aspects to it. But the rents combined with the lack of investment in public transport are quickly making it unlivable. The queer community being so small is just another reason to head to Melbourne.
