Let me just say, wow, its kinda uh...... overrated? Like why does salt cost 16 times more than regular table salt??? Sure its going for when u have fries and want to toss them with salt in a bowl, but i mean, doesnt kosher salt have virtually the same use???

Yes, it does. It's all just hype like the Himalayan salt hype from a few years ago that's over now. In reality they're only useful for decorating or very rarely rather specific cooking techniques. But for everyday use they're worthless and generally worse because in terms of iodine content which can be a problem if you don't get enough iodine from other sources. According to the latest news, this actually became a real problem recently.
