Dude don’t remind me. That inner calm I feel everytime after I cut is insane, but the shame from having those scars is permanent. I recommend indulging in other self destructive behavior.

personally the morning after never feels good for me, I end up with crusty blood smeared all over my body and my bedsheets, my comfy blankets and shark likely stained too, and the "dull ache" just heightens into sharp pain every time you brush against something
maybe you feel this if you're scratching yourself with a kitchen knife or smth idk

endorphins are nice but there's other ways to have them

im trying really hard to quit self harming and i haven't since january. but i rly miss going about my day feeling that ache of my bandaged cuts from the night before. its like a little reassurance and peace i carry w me for the next week, and then i can just press on them when im having a hard time and they'll hurt and I'll feel better. but its also just not a good way to cope, its functionally a drug and is really damaging to my relationships
