when I told my grandmother that I was transitioning to female, she said, "Oh, I'll have a very pretty granddaughter". Now every time she sees me, she tells me how pretty I am and that I'm the prettiest of my sisters (which is obviously not true)

my maternal grandma's the only one of them whos still around and the only one whos seen me being noticeably faggy or nonconforming, she doesnt have a problem w it but i havent outright told her im a tranny and i dont really intend to. the rest of them prob wouldve been the same way except maybe my grandma on my dad's side who was a pretty devout christian and very proper abt everything
my uncles are also fun bc no matter how much of a weird girly pretty boy i may look to them they all treat me as a "real man" bc i can keep up with their binge drinking. i dont know what any of them think of trannies overall but its probably nothing genuinely hostile

They seem to view trannies the same way they would drug addicts or homeless people. With pity and occasionally fear if they get too close

my grandma thinks im satanic for taking estrogen, my grandpa doesn't know but im sure he wouldn't like it if he did, he watches fox news 24/7 and laughs at trannies

For every greatest generation there is a worst generation
And it's whatever one that made the trans movement look like >>40691971 (OP)

grandparents on one side died before i trooned, other side thought it was weird until i did then immediately became cringey but v supportive liberals abt it, absolute best case scenario

The only time it was ever brought up was when I was like 14 and the Bruce Jenner thing was first being blasted on Fox. It was generally just a negative sentiment from my grandma then, idk what its like now. Im not coming out to her before she dies, though she did see me recently in boymode and couldnt recognize me. She was surprised when people told her I was her grandson because she said "but that looks like a girl???" and we had to reassure her that I was just growing my hair out.

I'm British and boymoding so I hear a lot about how the transes are repulsive from my nan and mum for that matter

my grandma died before i got to come out but everyone in my family agrees she would've been extremely receptive towards me trooning. my grandpa is still alive and he's pretty cool about it. him, along with most of my family treat me like an entirely different person now which i think is pretty cool.

all of them are dead, i only knew one of my grandparents but he passed in 2011 way before i trooned

i'd like to imagine they wouldn't be transphobic
