Regarding the particular concern OP voiced, it's really not, unless (s)he does something stupid like move to Dearborn Michigan. The Muslims who move to America tend to be higher quality and less political than the ones who head for Europe, and in a lot of places people will leave you alone, or at least not be immediately violent.
Our Christians can be a pain but they're not the existential threat to our existence that Islam is.

They didn't say they were thinking of going to the US, though frankly our government is so retarded right now even if OP was a astronaut-olympian I don't think they'd let anyone start the legal immigration process. Canada might be better.

That said OP if you can come to the US you'll be fine. Literally every red state has a liberal big city inside it, and you'd likely live in/near one rather than in some podunk town.
