Actually that statistic is only that way because of teenagers and young 20's year old boys trying to impress their friends.

If you remove that group from that equation and only focus on mature functioning adults, females are causing way way more accidents than males do.

funnily enough everyone involved in both my car accidents was a woman. this really isn't true though there's a reason car insurance rates are higher for young men
