prime example of how you can make poll results come out however you want by tweaking the phrasing of the question
"gay" and "lesbian" are used in different contexts from the acronym for the political coalition, one isn't a replacement for the other
also there are tons of cues here that this is older than dirt (the two films referenced as though they're culturally current are from the 90s, for instance)
