it's already happening too, fetuses are screened for genetic conditions and they're often aborted based on that

I don't think this type of eugenics is bad though. Historically the evil in eugenics came from the fact that you always had to cause harm to a group of people to put eugenics into practice (forced sterilization, genocide) but gene editing your baby or aborting fetuses based on their genes doesn't actually do anyone harm
