Are trannies actually communists? Or is it larp for aesthetic reasons? I am often ashamed to admit that, as a tranny, I am just a social democrat rather than a socialist or a communist because i feel like lots of my fellow trannies will judge me harshly.

I dont feel like imagining that
they are overrepresented among commies (desu all LGBT are). trannyism gels well with marx's base-superstructure dichotomy which is hemmed in pretty central to marxism. there is endless amounts of marxist ink that you can reverse engineer trans related stuff out of - if it doesn't deal with it directly like more contemporary stuff. they are over represented among anarchists as well but thats more out of themes focusing around consent, rights, and anti-hierarchy and also anti-fascism vis opposition to TERFism. also a not insignificant amount of them are sovietboos that "became" commies because they played shit like HoI4, stalinists are massive retards in general but the ones you see on the internet really have nothing in common with the party line of actual stalinist CPs, their politics are aesthetic and derived from video games basically.
