The worst part is i had just had VFS at the time, so couldn't talk, and just wanted to be alone. So i drove for 30 mins to a remote forest, and these two old people took it upon themselves to be nasty to me.

I really don't think it's gonna get that bad here anon. It's bad sure. But just reality check yourself it's not Dubai or Russia or something. Just make yourself stronger and more resilient and learn to both be more self sufficient and be useful to, and make use of the community around you. There'll be time to be soft, there'll be time for joy, the more stability and safety you create for yourself and those around you, the more capacity you'll have for that. Don't doom spiral about this. It's not going to help you.
