Same reason why trans men don't dress like picrel and instead have to have a backwards hat like a 1990s cartoon version of a kid, 300 piercings in their face, blue hair, Dr Martens boots, and about 30 different bracelets and bangles and necklaces and shit. Not to mention glitter makeup and eyeliner.

Yeah of course, but there's another side to that which is you have to recognize that we're not going to instapass on the first day of HRT. Transition is a process and a LONG one.

Female socialization teaches girls about makeup and fashion from the age of 2, by the age of 20 half of them still haven't figured it out, MtFs are expected to catch up on 20 years of female socialization in 24 hours after getting diagnosed, it's not possible.

It's also FUCKING expensive, I have to buy $200 of makeup today. A good quality hair stylist is $2500 a year. Electrolysis is $250 an hour, and thats an 80 hour beard. That's on top of doctors, medications and therapy, all for someone who is probably unemployed or marginally employed.

And we have to do that knowing that if some anonymous fuckhead like you gets a picture of our face you'll spread it around the internet to spread transphobia, which makes health communication within the community and with cisf peers who might be able to help fucking impossible.

So maybe stop talking about what trannies need to do and reflect on how your attitude is hurting a lot of people.

Laser isn't permanent tho.
But generally speaking, you're right. Building infrastructure and community around the multitude of services transgender people need is obviously a huge deal, it not only means more services available at a cheaper price, it also means better employment opportunities for transgender people.

And it's actually crazy how at any level of aptitude there's a job that trans people need somebody to do, and is currently being done by cis people. Hair removal and hair styling are basic trade skills, and even before that we're huge retail spenders. At the other end doctors and therapists are professionals with years of education. And there's so much in between.

We all need to band together and deal with the economic infrastucture. When you look at the statistics, 47 million transgender people globally is a country the size of spain. Demand for gender affirming services globally is hilariously underestimated.

I think a big step would be to remove the medieval guild-style system around administering medicine.

Medicine should be possible at the individual level, you should never have to go through bureaucracy, informed consent at all levels in a sense.

The technology exists today for a person to take a good evaluation of their medical situation and self-prescribe or administer medicines. If its something complex like endocrinology or whatnot, (some will shudder at the following suggestion) you could just train an AI model to accurately track your data and suggest prescriptions.

Surgery is kind of inherently going to have issues, not sure how you could reduce the cost of that.

Also, there are some countries (shitholes) like the UK, where individualized medicine, which is obviously the future of all effective medicine, is heavily discouraged by collectivist healthcare systems.

Yeah I agree with all of that. I live in Australia where literally everything is gatekept behind a GP.
And AI medicine is definitely the future, it's just not here yet.

But it's not just drugs, it's also cosmetics (which I'm struggling with today), it's hair removal, it's affordable fashion, proper nutrition and exercise facilities. It's EXPENSIVE.

And the only way to really solve these problems is to develop the infrastructure to do it. Social organizations are a start, but transgender specific health insurance, dedicated medical facilities of an appropriate size, transgender housing co-operatives and communal housing.

When you're transitioning you're building a new person, but in order to facilitate that effectively going forward we're effectively building an entire fucking state.

In the meantime we make do.

1. If you haven't been dressing like this since 2023 at the latest, you missed the memo and it's too late for you. Honestly, you should be transitioning out of this style like 4 months ago. It's out of style and Kroger-level normie style now.
2. This style is only super cute when you have femme waist/ribcage size ratios, and looks bad on even slightly clocky troons.
3. Finding good high-waisted, baggy-around the ankles jeans is actually pretty hard, lots of them are made badly and look like denim parachute pants.
4. Seriously, this is the basic minimum and yeah, like I said, it's old by now. The Y2K revival of 2021/2022 was only cutting edge and cool during those years. Since then it's just become diluted and it's becoming low-hanging fruit for those who catch onto fashion/art trends a few years late.

i sometimes do! i prefer full length ribbed tops to crop tops tho.
i think one of the cool things about being a tranny is how it can make you really intentional. as in you know what you like and why you like it because you've thought about yourself and experimented more than most people. sure a lot of baby trans women have awful style. but i think often trans girls can have really cool unique styles because of that intentionality. i like fashion a lot and i wear outfits that are probably not what 90% of cis women are wearing, but it looks good and its one of the things i love about being trans. and it doesn't clock me it just makes me stand out. which i like because i like attention.
