i am mtf (more or less...but i live as a woman) and i have always believed in freeing the nipple etc and i don't care at all abt people seeng my boobs, as long as it doesn't make them uncomfortable. i like to be topless a lot because i find it comfortable myself and i don't believe there is any reason i should be ashamed or embarrassed about it, but i was thinking about this and whether my being transgender might have anything to do with it, since for most of my life i never had to deal with the idea that my chest was something private or sexual. i wondered if maybe cis and trans women felt differently about this issue on the whole, so i made a poll, and then i thought that if i were going to post it here i may as well just open it up to everyone. so it is open to everyone. although i mostly want to know what women think. hopefully there are enough options that nobody is left out :)

Humans have permanent breasts, unlike all other great ape species. I think that's because humans evolved to be sexually attracted to round soft breasts, like how birds evolved to instinctively perform mating dances because their potential sexual partners find it attractive. Human breasts are probably the way they are due to evolutionary pressure to be sexually attractive, not purely to produce milk for our babies. So I think expecting people to not be horny about exposed boobs is swimming against human nature. That said I do not think toplessness (or nudity) should be illegal.

1. Boobs being out does not mean they are not sexual. "Boobs out" cultures simply have a different level of baseline sexuality that is visible in public, and a ton of OTHER cultural baggage that comes along with open boobs.
