I've improved in some ways after being on testosterone for a long while but regressed in others. The main thing testosterone has done for me has helped me feel more comfortable in my skin. I still struggle with a lot of the same mental issues and those have gotten worse due to changing life circumstances unrelated to testosterone. I don't want to say anything about myself because there's a doxxer here and I like my job, but other than refining your technical skills with youtube tutorials and leetcode, the best way to get back into programming is to give yourself a project. Convert an old laptop into a a server and host your own private cloud, make a database for information regarding your hobbies or anything you want to catalog and pull up information on at random. We feel motivated to learn the skills necessary to complete the goal. Once you get good at one aspect of programming set another goal, maybe data encryption this time, try to hack yourself? Been on T for several years. I live in a western country where most people work and there’s no draft.
It’s been easier for me (keep it mind you’re talking to an incredibly biased group). Women are nicer (as long as they don’t think you’re trying to fuck them, they’ll just be more guarded in those cases). Men open up about their lives more. People may or may not flirt with you less, but there’s both good and bad to that. I’ve seen trans women express that they couldn't wrap their head around the “bad” until after transitioning, which makes sense to me.
Less compliments on appearance but more compliments on work/accomplishments, so the effect that has on you will depend on what you value more.
Even though I’m having the time of my life, I also don’t like seeing cis men dismissed for having issues with what’s expected of them.
