I never stopped disliking right wing austerity or christian conservative policies but I'm much less enthusiastic about leftist politics after actually spending time around communists. People would just throw out edgy shit about how the aftermath of isIamist attacks should focus on muslim's feelings and prison abolition should apply to murderers, but being a "settler" makes you a combatant who deserves the death penalty, or at least lifelong harassment and discrimination with no possibility of backlash. Just by accident of birth. It doesn't help that most of them see political victories as something they're entitled to for being super smart and good instead of actually needing to engage with real human voters
