i lived in paris for three years, france more generally for six years, i'm irish and fluent in french so moving was easy as hell. not sure how common the type you describe is, seems like more of an NYC thing but i guess they exist, did come across a couple of openly trans twinkhon models when i went to queer parties and stuff. otherwise it's like anywhere. passing or almost-passing androphilic trannies work normie white collar jobs and try to blend in, twinkhons can sometimes be found in retail, hons are either of the transbian programmer variety or they're like unemployed and live in squalor (more often than not sharing neighbourhoods with thirdies interestingly enough, and typically without major issues too).

strasbourg seems comfy, i think if i ever moved back to france (unlikely but not impossible) it's a city i'd consider. i actually like paris more than most people but renting there has gotten crazy in the last couple of years. don't really like the south that much and while i enjoyed living in brittany before i think i'd get bored there these days. i live in a really well connected part of central europe now so i've just gotten too used to being able to travel internationally for a change of scenery really easily if i want to, going back to not having an actual airport and being 500km from the nearest land border would freak me the hell out i think.
