Most liberals don't actually think deeply about racism or how they feel about minorities. If they have racist thoughts to begin with, they just learn that being on the good team means you never express them. They think they're doing you a favor by hiding how they feel and saying the right words. If you piss them off they decide you're not worth the effort anymore. It's that simple.
