Anon, my region had trans people noted by the Spanish at their arrival in the 1700s. Several in every village, they said, completely integrated into society and well-respected. The priests and soldier of course had them forcibly converted and detransed and the one that did not agree were eaten by dogs. undestandably, they dropped off the record for a while.
