our solution for this right now is to always require an "ai" tag on any image made or edited with AI, and then we default to not displaying AI images in the gallery or search results unless the default "Hide AI" setting is unchecked by the user

because i'm not an anti-AI person. AI boymoders all look like slop but there are other interesting non-boymoder AI images on the site and who knows maybe someday someone will find a way to use AI to create interesting boymoders. as a software developer i use LLMs every day to increase productivity and it would be strange and hypocritical for me to just hate generative AI

i figure just hiding them by default and making it opt-in is the best solution
