I used to read all sorts of transformation fiction, including those of the punishment sort, as my guilty pleasure. I stopped doing it because radfems online said it was AGP and misogynist, although I didn't think of myself as being trans, just a male ally. Years later, I realized TERFs are full of shit, but I stopped feeling ashamed to want to be a woman because of all the feminism I had been exposed to, and thought most TF fiction was harmless but ultimately a bit too kitsch and sexist for me. And then I transitioned.
