I live in one of the more expensive areas of the country for one.

but still, if I make a "good" wage of 22 dollars an hour working in a warehouse (stable and a step above retail, stable hours) at a normal 40 hours a week I make roughly 3000 a month take home.... 1 bedrooms are 1.5-1.70k in the cheap areas. Many things are cheaper than in the eu but rent is very expensive.

not a transbian, but I make like 45k with a shitty sales gig where I work like ten hours a week and am pretty in a few meeting with clients a week. just got offered a fairly central, renovated apartment in a queer hotspot for 800 bucks a month.
