i don't think i really believe in the idea of a soul (although i reference such a thing rhetorically a lot; i think it's just your psyche), but i do believe that there are people born with male bodies who are wired, so to speak, more similarly to the way most people female bodies are, as their brain relates to their body. meaning that they are naturally distressed by the appearance of their body as something not female because it seems wrong on a very basic, innate and instinctual level.
i also believe that there are psyches (or souls) which are more predisposed to certain personalities or ways of thinking than others, and that this accounts for people born male who think of themselves innately as WOMEN (n.b. different from "female"), meaning they feel connected on some deep and personal level to womanhood, as in the gender. the types can overlap, and often do, but not necessarily. i am the former type only.

nta but i feel like this is a much more definite thing unless i misunderstand your impression of the word "feminine" (which is super fair bc that's a hard thing to prescriptively define)
