should i start pio?
im thinking about starting pio, but i cant find much about it

im two years hrt, been on and off prog for the past 6 months, 5'10'', 66kg/146lbs.

i know the whole point is to gain weight while on it, so should i lose weight before starting? if so, what weight should i aim to be beforehand, and how much should i gain?

i also remember reading somewhere that there is a less risky alternative with the same effects, is this true? is there anything else i should consider taking alongside it, or just in general?

where can i source it in the uk? anything else i should know?

thanks :3

pio is fucking amazing if you do literally anything other than keep exactly the same weight. if you gain weight on it, you grow fat deposits. if you lose weight on it, you lose fat in places you dont want it and what you dont burn gets redistributed to areas you do want it. ive heard it works particularly well with retatrutide.

>i also remember reading somewhere that there is a less risky alternative with the same effects, is this true?
not really. there are similar drugs but none are as potent as pioglitazone. its the reference drug in all studies on fat cell growth and almost nothing else comes close. however...

good things that have helpful effects that go even harder when combined with it include fish oil (adipogenic effects), arginine (mobilises fat deposits through GH related effects), retatrutide (dont combine with arginine), prog (boosts feminine fat deposit lipid uptake) (topical or injection preferred).

do not eat a high sugar diet with this, stomach fat is more sensitive to insulin than other fat sites and youll ruin your results from it. go for high meat and fat content, thats your best bet to maximising results.

any recommendations on how fast you should gain weight?

i weigh 70kg rn (5'11) and im dropping to 60kg until december, then I want to get on pio and gain 10kg again. Is 3.3kg/mo too fast, even if my surplus is *not* a result of a high sugar diet?

slowly. treat it like any tissue gain phase where your goal is to support gradual gain of healthy mass. shoot for 1-2kg a month instead. are you exercising during this?

also, why not do pio for the down cycle? even a low dose of it will dramatically improve the efficacy of your weight loss phase in terms of male fat lost and female fat gained.

Pio is a meme. Back in the day it was domperidone. Except it's more dangerous.

the following is a paper written on the risks of pioglitazone. keep in mind it is entirely related to the treatment of diabetics, who generally have dogshit health and are prone to all kinds of health complications as is. the long term risks from pio are likely related to it just stealing stem cells from non-adipose tissue over time, so if you cycle it on and off (diabetics obviously cant do this) its probably not an issue.

i had ur same weight and height and have gained about 15 pounds over a few months on pio. mostly went to my lower half tho desu my boobs seem a little bigger. i pass way better now, at least by my estimation, i plan on gaining another 20 then cycling back down.

Uh, no. Pills are also EV. That's literally what most people take.
Good job being insufferable for no reason whatsoever.

most planned parenthood trannies? with their spiro? why on earth would your first thought on mention of EV be pills?
>Good job being insufferable for no reason whatsoever.
there is a good reason and its that a certain level of dumbfuckery drives everything down.

I thought you meant I was on a hondose or some shit
I literally have no idea what you've been trying to say since the beginning. 10mg EV is more than what most people take in injections, okay, and then? What?

shes saying most people are hons even on 10mg EV/week because its the bare minimum and it shows youre a cuck to pp

not quite. 10mg ev a week is a stupid dose, itll ruin your receptor density and possibly cause long term downregulation.

I'm on 6mg EV except I still take 4*1mg gel every day because it's prescribed but it probably doesn't do a lot lel

no i meant bare minimum as in "doing the bare minimum" for your transition
as in following whatever shitty dosages they give you instead of researching the science and fine tuning your hrt regimen for your individual needs
