hard to do, since technically HRT is used for biological women for menopause, hirsutism (excessive beardgrowth) and numerous other ailments that require bioidentical female hormones. Even babypills and stuff that makes you stop your period. You COULD ban it specifically for biological males, but then it would once again open a can of worms and you would have to add specific exemptions for intersex people or maybe even women that were born without a uterus, depending on how much you uppend the current definitions of biological male and female.


Lets also assume pharmacies and everything in regards to HRT access needs DNA access aswell as visual inspection.
The fact that the menopause market is so huge would make it extremely easy to get estrogen by the kilo from china. You only have to look towards peptides to see that shit like that will never be stopped. There are even peptides that are GnRH analogues which are basically puberty blockers ie they shutdown the HPG Axis, or even better, bicalutamide which you technically could transition on without exogonous estradiol since testosterone converts to e2 on its own in excess, so taking bica would be like -> blocking androgen receptors -> body producing more t -> T can't bind anywhere because of bica -> turns T to E2

And at the very bottom of things, you could just synthesize E2 yourself quite frankly.

btw I knew all of that when I was 14 and transitioned by getting DIY hrt and never regretted it. you would have to basically ban the internet to stop willing young kids that are just a modicum smart (often autists) from accessing diy hrt

if you identify as trans, then you don't get it. you don't have gender dysphoria. the identities are man or woman.

As you said, it is easy to get it, so putting a stop on "gender affirming treatment" isn't a big deal. The main objective is simply moving this stuff out of the mainstream. Transgenderism was fine as a niche in the 80s.

There's no rage, I'm just explaining an objectively better compromise. I'm sorry that you don't want to die or whatever but 'traditionalism' is a meme and shouldn't be tolerated. There is not one single human tradition that is older than maybe ~200 years, and most 'traditions' are even younger than that. Why? Because passing down traditions is a big game of telephone. It's stupid and what you can expect an imbecile to come up with. Society creates a burden and then pushes that burden on individuals, but ethically it is society that must pay to correct this. A more reasonable approach is to say that everyone in a non-wealthy income bracket can re-allocate already paid taxes up to 10 years to procedures for transition.
