vegan boymoder needs to gain weight
I need to weight cycle to stop looking like a skinny boy, the problem is that I am vegan and all my favourite foods are low calorie. how do I gain weight?

It's the opposite numbnuts. Most of the highest calorie foods out there are all vegan.

Pure meat doesn't have much calories, the reason people get fat is because they dump carbs all over their meat.

omg im a vegan female bodybuilder this thread was made for me
- overnight oats (or oats in general) are a really good source of calories, use the highest calorie vegan milk you can find, this will be either onions or pea milk. plus you can meal prep these the night or two before so it’s really easy to grab. eating carbs in the morning is really important to keep your hunger up
- smoothies are also great for the carbs in the morning, you can add silken tofu to both make it creamy and more calorie dense. frozen avocado pieces are really nice too if you can find them
- tofu + rice for at least one meal of the day, the good thing about tofu is it absorbs all the oil you give it so you can make it as high cal or low cal as you want, plus if you can find an asian sauce you like it’ll absorb all of that too
- stop snacking! it’s so easy to go through your day eating like a bird if you do, actually sit down and focus on eating at least two solid meals a day. eating a good volume is the thing i struggle most with, i put on pump up music and treat it as a challenge
- give yourself reasonable portions. if you’re anything like me you’ve probably been eating half your portion and having the rest as leftovers, don’t do that! it trains your brain to be hypersensitive to your hunger cues and ignore the amount you have, you want to train your brain to do the opposite. give yourself a portion just a little bit more than you think you can finish, and when you’re done go back for seconds if necessary
- obviously penut butter and nuts in general, you could combine this with your skinny foods so you can still eat them and get your calories.

do you have tips to feel less satiated? all the foods I eat make me feel satisfied so I only end up eating 2 meals a day and I already don't snack. everytime I've tried to take weight gain seriously I just end up getting full after eating slightly more than normal and then don't eat anything else the rest of the day, which ironically ends up meaning I eat less calories than normal. I feel like this is my main problem, I'm just a not very hungry person

Not OP but I have the same issue. I eat those unhealthy things, I just get full too easily and have trouble gaining more than a few pounds without losing it again anyway soon after. I have to resort to eating lots of Oreos or something to get past the feeling of fullness and it's not fun.

Weird, normally isn't "stop snacking" something they tell people trying to lose weight, because it's so easy to eat a lot of calories without noticing? I thought my tendency to snack on nuts, cookies, apples, etc. would help and not hinder me in gaining weight.

eat food you like and have a ton of shit that's easy to snack on. do a little bit of light exercise too, not enough to burn many calories, the goal is to stimulate your metabolism. i used to use weight gain bars (I think I ate builder bars a lot) but I was also trying to do so as cheaply as possible which was my mistake. you need eating to feel good so you should get the ones that are the tastiest
