Im a 33 year old boomer and old enough to remember when the Democrats decided to was a “smart” idea to exclude gender identity from the Employment Non-discrimination Discrimination Act (ENDA). half the party voted no on it and it barely passed with a few moderate republicans, back when those still existed. ENDA never passed the senate and Bush would have vetoed.
