CIA and DoD made Al Qaeda stronger post 9/11 through a string of bad decisions in Iraq, Pakistan, Yemen, and Somalia. 9/11 itself could have been prevented if there weren't so many morons in power.
The question is, was there ever a trajectory toward liberalization of Islam? Did we fuck it up after 9/11? Or was there nothing to fuck up?

I find it strange that I am a boymoder and I make fast friends with most browns including turks, pakistanis, arabs because I share some of their sensibilities but if I told them I am trans they'd probably beat me up.

I had a pakistani dude I'm friendly with try to gas me up and say "brooooo you should convert to islam and date a muslim girl! with your long hair if you grew a beard you would look like a viking!" and I had to just chuckle that one off

It's a shame that I am so handicapped by being trans. Perhaps in another reality I can fulfill my destiny of being an orientalist larper like Jan Janszoon or Lawrence of Arabia and stand as a royalty among them

I live in a pretty Islamic area they're all chillers. I lived with one jew tranny one time and it was a fucking nightmare
