I am only speaking for the US here, but:

indians are the highest-income demographic in the entire US and do extremely well and in general this "those poor immigrants are being exploited as slaves :(" narrative is bullshit from the far-right and far-left. people immigrate because they want to immigrate and believe the benefits are worth it. they can always leave if they think they'd be better off in their home country

they are proactively moving somewhere to of their own free will work a job that pays them a wage. if they're being so expertly tricked and so deviously exploited to take all those voluntary actions then that's on them, I guess

I know a lot of people have been complaining about immigration to canada in the past year. I'm not going to die on a hill I don't know enough about, but I'm highly skeptical things are really that bad for either the immigrants or the native citizens

as for myself: I am an american white guy who works at a tech company with many indian coworkers. they all seem happy and successful, from what I can tell, as do all the non-indian coworkers, including myself

The Indians we along with other first world nations are getting are not the Indians you're so familiar with. We also have those high earners who took the time to come here and literally nobody has ever had a problem with them, there were about 600 thousand to 1 million of them living here. I can promise you that we are not seeing millions of them coming here every single year, (and even if we were it wouldn't be right either).
Those who are coming here now are opportunists jumping at a chance to leave India, and while I do not blame them for doing so as its literally Soilent Green over there, they are entirely unskilled. They've annihilated low tier jobs that locals tended to fall back on when needed, jobs youths would get started on, those are all gone now and that is because this is all but one big corporate ploy to cut wages. Places like Tim Hortons and Canadian Tire were great examples of how diverse it is up here you'd see practically every shade of human being, now you see exclusively Indians.

They're being brought in via temporary work permits that lock them into whatever hours their job offering company choses for them (you get work perms if given a job offer) which are often utterly inhuman and they are paid far less than locals due to existing loopholes. I've had some coworkers here on such visas confide in me how they've been denied promotions at other companies. With the low pay they have no choice but to settle for awful 'suites' which are just converted basements thatre already housing 6 other people. They've signed themselves up for pure misery.
