Is estrogen even worth taking?
Every transgirl that has shown me their before and after pictures barely look different in the photos besides boobs and makeup.

And even one particular trans youtuber that i watched alot and looked up to did a face reveal recently (they had been on hrt for years) and she looked EXACTLY like a man, like you wouldnt possibly know the difference at all.

All this just makes me question if I should even bother with starting estrogen, since it barely seems to have any effects besides growing boobs and ruining the dick.

many approach this question incorrectly. You are dealt the hand you're dealt. My timeline looks like you photoshopped my teenaged face onto a random girl's body. What you are deciding is whether you want to take on the metabolic needs and consequences of a man or a woman while you age. For me, the prospect of maturing into manhood followed by a life of masculinization did not seem like an option.

not everyone has amazing results but for many people they're plain as day
I've had mind-blowing changes particularly considering my age, and I'm only about 40% of the way through in terms of time
transtimelines on reddit also has a lot of good examples of this; some results are better than others but pretty much everyone sees change

For me the desire to have a dick went away with time but by the time my mind was made up i was a lateshit. If you would rather be a cis girl and dating men all I can say is be careful of making a decision to repress for life due to insecurity about passing.

If nothing else, it keeps you from masculinizing, so you won't "age out" of being trans.

If you wanna be a woman your male bits won't work right, that is part of the deal.

For the latter, don't take pills for too long and have a plan to eventually get off of blockers (orchi or just hope your testicles stop working on their own). Directly administered estrogen has very little side effects and should be the long term solution.

But having a masculine head on a feminine body just looks incredibly uncanny. I starve myself to have a super skinny twinkish body but my face ruins it all because its so masculine. I can literally see just how weird and creepy i look because of my masculine face in contrast to my body.
