This, when artistic males draw shit they truly make it visually horrifying and I have found they are a lot more primal in their desires whereas ftms are let's say a lot more psychological and wordy. That's not to say that they are more enlightened or anything but you can clearly see where the sexual aspect comes from. For males it seems to be just a simple desire to coom that has got out of hand due to porn addiction, when females do it always has something to do with personal trauma or potential scary things instead. To actually answer the question, a lot of it is fake edge. This goes for all edgy individuals you meet: question where they got it from. If their family isn't about that life, or if they don't come from that type of neighborhood or occupational background, it's off brand. No, personal family trauma doesn't count.

this is a cropped picture so i dont have much to work with, but i can tell that youre a chronically online weeb or at the very least youve matured surrounded by people whos art was influenced by anime. mostly feel that way because of the blush and the way youve drawn the eyes with that slightly rounded slanted quality. ive looked at a lot of furry art that was made in early 90s before anime was mainstream, before japanese influence seeped itself into the furry community people used to be inspired by disney/don bluth or looney tunes and the difference is stark. youre more confident with your shapes than the artist in the OP so i can infer that youre more mentally mature than them, it takes patience and a level of self discipline to learn fundamentals and be able to utilize them instead of hiding those issues with shading and visual effects. you also likely have a low level of neuroticism, neurotic artists prioritize shading and color in their art to the point where it contrast with subpar quality of their lineart. the OP is a nice example of that, to neurotic artists overshading their art is a self-soothing behavior, like a person with ocd washing their hands over and over again. neuroticism is a female trait, so i can spot pooners very easily by their overshaded art
