Death of the Novel
Is the novel dead? Can we only hope to embrace the infinite multitudes of poetry and the Pound Era?

It's always ironic seeing people here list top 100 classics and their annual to-read lists while struggling to finish novels no one will ever read, we are in agreement about reading archaic books while pretending to care about new books, it's so fucking self-contradictory you have to wonder how it all stays together after everyone has seen the same damn recommendations, it's like a bunch of geriatrics and paraplegics encouraging each other to finish a race after the collapse of civilization, except most of them don't even realize they're going in a circle

1. Cryo freeze yourself for 100 years
2. Wake up and search for the best classics that have been made since 2000
3. Repeat eternally (since 2100, since 2200, etc.)
