seriously though, this book keeps repeating that a small kabbala of Biden aides were hiding Biden's deterioration from the rest of the world, so in other words, the rest of the democrats didn't know Biden was senile. So Democrats were shocked when the debate revealed how senile Biden was, because this small group was shielding them from it. Let me set the record straight: EVERYONE KNEW

There are countless memes, stickers, t-shirts, podcasts, and memes dating back to 2020 making fun of Biden being senile. This book is trying to re-write history. It was obvious for everyone way before the debate.

It’s already well-known that this genre of “exposé” from politicians, civil servants, and journalists are in reality just apology and propaganda. I don’t see why we should make much ado about it. He obviously knew and is now on defense. Just send him to the gulag when the time for justice comes.

exactly, he's got a lot of shit for writing a book exposing something that he was complicit in.
(my point is that that in and of itself is a false narrative)

The Democrats are just that narrow minded that they thought our memes were meanspirited lies

Biden was a traditional candidate in that he was white, old and male. He looked the part. They knew Kamala would never win. And since Biden defeated Trump in the first election they thought he could do it again.

It was obvious in 2020, that is my recollection. They used Covid as an excuse for not running a normal campaign but it was clear Biden was not all there

Semi related but when do history books become accurate, how many years after the events occurred do we get to know a more truer truth?

That’s a very antisemitic question. Even today we learn more and more about the holocaust.

the book made this same point. I think it's correct. and a lot of the democrats I listen to are now blaming this "lack of democracy" within the democratic party, for this huge defeat. I think they are lying to themselves about Bernie being able to beat Trump.

I know this is going to sound gay, but I think the thesis, antithesis, synthesis model is the right one. The right has to iron-man their argument. The left has to iron-man their argument and I'm not saying the truth is in the middle. I'm saying they'll both exploit the other's lies.

Never. History is not, in the final analysis, the acquisition and study of facts regarding the past. Just consider the historiography of the crusades.

Biden literally hid in his basement and relied on Trump's unfavorability to win in 2020. It was well known that Biden was taking as few interviews as possible because he struggled to remain coherent in any conversation.

I think there are going to be many tell-alls that come out in a few years as a way of clearing themselves. The media gaslit and lied all the way through the Biden presidency until they couldn’t deny what was going in anymore and even then they still sort of tried.

R’s are awful for different reasons but Covid and then Biden was just too much propaganda for most people. Say what you will about Americans being cattle but they did do a pretty good job of standing up to the absurdity of those mandates. If I was a dem politician I’d be concerned with what they do with the 25% of the country that is terminally broken thanks to their media machine.
