i have a difficult time being hard. like i find it difficult to push through pain because there is no 'other side' of it to me. like it seems pushing just leads to increasingly more pain, if that makes sense. and eventually it just gets unbearable where pushing is impossible. I admire people with the constitution and tenacity to keep going. I think its an extraordinary trait

The book works because there is a market for self optimization and because he is a Navy seal and therefore a believable guide to people. So just because you can write bedda about something random doesn't mean people give a shit
