No thanks. Now that ChatGPT exists, your skills are no longer needed.

quantity of books is not much of a credential
how many people read your books and like them?

Why does this board assume that just because people like reading books that they all want to be authors?

i literally just realized some this second because of your post. i have zero desire to be a writer but i keep notes for a sci-fi and a fantasy setting i wish existed and before too long ill just be able to feed it into chatgpt and get stories that i want about my own custom built setting

I'm an onomatopoeia kinda guy and am writing a fanfic where fat tits comically slap into someone's face. Gimme a sound.

I wouldn't go as far as to say, "I'm writing a book" too but I've written down a lot notes over the the years that collate my ideas in my chosen field.

It's gotten to the point where I could almost imagine expanding on my ideas to put into book form. The issue is that I take a long time to explore my ideas. A page can take me several hours to write, then I get into a spiral where I write and re-write my work again and again.

So because the process is so laboursome, what advice do you have for me in terms of structure? (I've used chatGPT to expand on some ideas but I always hate it because it's so synthetic and lacks my personal tone)

Then also, How do you approach a publisher to have it published?

Well I want to ask first, is the issue that you're talking about not writing enough in terms of quantity? I mean, if you sit down and write for an hour, do you get caught up on reediting and rewriting?

To continue answering you; Basically I keep separate editing and writing mostly. I mean until the entire whole work is done, i dont go back and alter much of anything other then spelling errors i notice or small additions or removals. Most editing though is just all done in one final go through after the whole thing is written. As for structure, do you mean like structuring a book like an outline or story structure in general?

About a year or two ago I started seeing and hearing this kind of mistake everywhere. What gives?

ESLs. Also, that grammar mistake puts the lie to the claim he's a writer.
Hey genius, why not tell us how you promote your books. Anyone can write a book. But getting it to sell is the trick.

English is my first language, have wrote, have written, nobody actually cares. Anyways you can find the books i wrote on goodreads, author name "Tad Illuminated."
As for publishing, i dont advertise my books, why should i care if someone reads them? lol, im a writer, not a salesman

How do I write consistently? As in how do I develop the discipline to produce a higher output? My current work ethic is more like random bursts of intense writing followed by long periods of just thinking about writing.
