I see a man filtered thrice: he didn't list specific translations or specific books and no Hegel.

"Meh. Some of these are pseuds". While trying to suppress a deep sadness within me, that comes from the unrealized dream I once had of reading the most important works of philosophy. A sadness that deepens when I realize that I really do believe some of these authors are pseuds and I that I have nothing to learn from them, because the sadness comes not from not achieving my dreams, but from giving up on them.

Seeing as I don't know what the title of the work is, I'd wonder what it's going to be about, because that's a wide variety of different professions. I'd assume that it's either going to be a high quality piece of writing or pseudo-trash. With no chance of it being anything between.

I would think the author doesn’t know the difference between a dedication and a bibliography.

It's a guy called Alfred Korzybski. Some book on language or something.

>it's either going to be a high quality piece of writing or pseudo-trash. With no chance of it being anything between.
Not sure about this; most things are somewhere between.

You might get away with a ‘dedication’ like this in a massive Spenglerian treatise on life, the universe and everything, I suppose. But probably not even then. If you absolutely must tell everyone about all the books you've read, list them in an Appendix. Then people can look it up if they care and ignore it if they don't.
