You forgot the part where she clearly comes from a family of wealth, being able to study at multiple universities in both the US and the UK. Additionally this would provide her better connections to publishers.

Its not just what you are capable of writing, but a lot of it is who you know and how large your wealth is which truly opens these doors.

Except that there is literally overt systemic oppression of whites and males in the West. Just walk in to any student resources center on any university campus, they will have tons of scholarships for women (women are already the majority of the student body, the split being 60/40 to men) and there will be ZERO that are men only scholarships. Same goes for scholarships for diverse individuals, but none for whites only. This is just the reality today.
