I liked Jaime's chapters, I liked Cersei's, Sansa's weren't bad, I liked Sam and Victarion's chapters, the Kingsmoot was great, Brienne's were comfy.

What is the realistic end with Euron that won't result in disappointment?
He is set up way too powerfully, on the brink of either taming a dragon, tearing down the wall, summoning a kraken, or possibly literally a Cthulhu-like monster in the drowned god.
I highly doubt Grrm wants to get that magical, he always seemed to spite it. Euron is borderline unstoppable, can warg, can invade dreams, can contact the faceless men, literally what can't he do. What's the best case scenario that won't be disappointing for Euron. I want him to be the one to usher in the long night but would Grrm ever actually do it

The most kino possible ending is that Shireen gets burned up north, releasing the grayscale plague through the air, and then Jon C spreads it south, and the greyscale spreads north and South at the same time, ravaging westeros.

People like to defend Dany’s character but once she invades Westeros she loses all pretense of being a good person. She has no connection to its people and any sort of invasion would be selfish in nature, not to mention the foreign hordes she seeks to bring across the narrow sea. Like she can make the Dothraki are stop raping a pillaging or even the ironborn granted the Lannister army is also comically evil but still I doubt she is changing the nature of the people she is going to displace in Westeros.

Reading the first book and its alright, but I think the show improved it hugely aging up the characters. Everyone is like 12 and cries all the time and I'm left wondering why the book is even popular.

Economics are an important part of the series. Littlefinger gains power by slowly bankrupting the realm during Robert's reign. yrells gain power by having money that the crown doesn't have (thanks to Littlefinger), there are food riots during Clash and eventually that turns into the Sparrow movement in Feast. Stannis has to make deals with the Iron Bank, as does Cersei, Dany starts out completely broke so deals with vultures of Qarth, she has to find ways to pay for The Unsullied, etc.

All the kings in F&B have their economic plans laid out. Jaeherys faces a broke kingdom so he needs money. He hires a master of coin and tells him to raise taxes. Everybody gets mad, of course and ready to revolt. Once Jaeherys has enough money, he says "oh, I didn't know about the taxes. It was my evil master of coin going solo. I shall get rid of him and lower your taxes because I'm a good king." Jaeherys the Based gets his money AND everyone thinks he's the good guy.

In general, there's not much reason for Braavos to be wealthy just based on how it's positioned. With Amsterdam almost all of the trade coming out of the Baltic is going to pass by them and could stop there. Venice is where the Adriatic Sea terminates and Venice has massive interest in doing things like controlling Albania so they can control the entrance to the Adriatic as well. Braavos has nothing going for it other than a midpoint for trade from Ib with the rest of the Free Cities.

King Robert is GRRM's answer to this, in that Robert doesn't care about the minutia of ruling since he became king because he was good at swinging a hammer, so he hands off ruling to Jon Arryn and all fiscal matters to Littlefinger.
