>>24527043Turn your screen brightness down retard
>>24527043>light modePost on a fucking computer like a civilized human being, you stupid phoneposter.
>>24527047That's a possibility I didn't consider.
>>24527048I'm on computer, I don't think you can ever change the style of 4chan to Tomorrow if you're phoneposting
>>24527052>That's a possibility I didn't consider.A blank white screen should be the same brightness as a piece of white paper is in the same room. Many such cases among darkmode babies. My monitor brightness is set to 35/100 and goes down from there at night.
I don't think this is a very fair representation of the sexual beliefs of D.H. Lawrence, who, at any rate, was not a systematic thinker on the question that could be summed up according to two simple propositional sentences. There are elements of male sexual domination of women in Lady Chatterley's Lover but this is not a throughline in all of his novels or non-fiction, nor does it, as depicted in that one novel, end there as the implicit manifesto-type point being made about the sexual unity of men and women. Connie Chatterley is also by no means a passive character who merely waits to receive the heroic man as "he returns from his labours." Very ironic excerpt here which merely passive aggressively performs its "noble scorn" based on a not very close, evidence free reading of Lawrence.
>>24527065But then I can't see anything if I watch movies. As soon as night falls or they enter a cave I'm just looking at my reflection. Same for playing vidyas. Things are obviously designed nowadays for screens with high brightness
>>24527066Bertrand Russell, who wrote this, once contemplated suicide over a denunciatory letter from D.H. Lawrence. Gives some much needed context.
>>24527073>it's RussellOh, THAT'S the pathetic note I was detecting in the prose.
My drs never told me nothing when I was there I thought I lived in America in the 21st century.
