Potentially a lukewarm fence-sitting take here, but I think that, just as some cultures, subcultures, and even online spaces can encourage chauvinism and toxic beliefs and behavior in men (as “toxic masculinity”), so elements of the culture of the West today can encourage toxic feminine mindsets and behavior. I feel like especially a lot of young women today in the West have this mindset that “men are just bad, you’re all threats to us and potential rapists, and we have to nag, henpeck, criticize and emasculate you as much as we can, and also all the Toxic Wh*te Men throughout the history of Western civilizatio who contributed to our arts, philosophy, science, and literature. You’re all fucking chuds and we have to cut your balls off.”

So, women are not intrinsically evil; well, not anymore than humanity in general is or can be, I think. But there’s sweet and wonderful, say, older women (where they don’t become old cunts, their egos generally mellow out and they become wonderful people, they’re not so egoistic about something like their sex appeal so much anymore, for instance), wonderful women from more traditional conservative cultures, and, hell, even some great younger ones anywhere in the West or privileged societies who just have a good head on their shoulders and haven’t let their relatively privileged position get to their head.

On the other hand, there really are women and girls (you can find them on places like Reddit) who sincerely seem to view men the way Nazis viewed and talked about Jews. Or how /pol/ uses crime statistics. The new wave of misandristic, toxic feminism. They disregard the humanity of men, and even the ways in which men are sometimes victimized, oppressed, or harmed, in some ways greater than (especially privileged, Western, first-world white) women on average (drafted and sent to war, doing the hard physical labor and trades and construction which give us our comforts and luxury while also potentially harming their own bodies, greater victims of physical assault and murder, more drug addiction, more homeless men, more successful suicides), to focus on female victimhood and oppression exclusively … which, as its corollary, often condones hatred of the victimizer/oppressor, which some of them take as all men at large.

Anyway … is this even a /lit/ post? No, it’s just me rambling. Anyway, there’s a reason Shakespeare is so praised, I think. Unconventional rec in response to a question like that, but he has it all - evil men, great men, evil and crafty women, virtuous and wonderful women. It’s all in there from centuries ago, this piercing insight into human psychology even while the style and poetry is unrealistic and even superhumanly beautiful at times, by the convention of Elizabethan plays being written in blank verse. I don’t think he gives a “why” though, more like a portrayal of it, and some of the “how” of it.

I strongly disagree with the premise in the first place, that all women are inherently evil. But definitely some are. But to ask why, is like asking, why are some men evil?
They just are. It’s a deep mystery.

If you want some evopsych chud stuff, women are the gatekeepers of human reproduction by deciding who they want to have sex with. The male libido is more aggressive and almost all-encompassing, such that more men view more women as attractive enough to fuck, whereas women typically view only a smaller minority of men as attractive to them. This seems to be an element of human sexual dimorphism. I believe this can get to women’s heads and make them arrogant, at their worst.

Another thing which seemingly can get to some women’s heads, but also to men’s head. Paradoxically, again, giving them a somewhat rather privileged position in some societies even while they complain about their oppression. And don’t get me wrong, they can be being oppressed or victimized in some respects, but still while there’s a bigger picture.
