Lit Confession
If I'm reading a book that I'm some ways in and it's no longer interesting me but I want to make myself finish it anyway, I'll imagine all the characters as anthropomorphic animals (aka "furries"); doing this usually makes whatever novel I'm reading more fun and it'll keep me reading even during the dry parts.

Only retards read books that bore them. They think the more boring it is the smarter it will make them seem. I have an IQ of 140-150 (tested both in school and later by the Marine Corps) and can't bring myself to read anything 'smarter' than the Jack Reacher novels and pre-sober Stephen King nowadays.

Bro, you are based! I have an IQ of 87 (tested on four different occasions) and also enjoy Stephen King and Jack Reacher (I like the new one much more than the OG Tom Cruise one). I'm really happy to find a kindred spirit in you, dude.

I pretty much only enjoy reading ya/scifi/romance/fantasy. I hated just about everything I had to read for school. I relied heavily on Spark Notes to get through all my courses. I got As in most of them, anyway. I hated school so it's sort of like a middle finger to all the teachers that dragged me down.

No, you definitely aren’t. I like some light entertainment but after a while if you have an IQ that high you’ll just get bored of the world around you and of pulp novels like that and you’ll just need to go after something more. Stephen king novels one after the other would become unbearable.

You’ve found your genre and, for the most part, you’ve stuck to it, making occasional deviations to see how other spheres might suit you. You’re a good reader, despite what trolls on here might say.

>if you have an IQ that high you’ll
Nothing screams dullard more than this phrase right here. I don't need to read the writing's of another man to entertain myself like you do. I didn't claim to read all the time; I claimed that IF I choose to read, it'll be slop that entertains me. Not slop written by pseudointellectual writers with a thesaurus.
