Why do straight and gay woman love to consume literature with two homosexual males? I need to someone smart to figure this out. My primary source is social media, so it's not definitive, but it seems to common place.

is this a post about the song of achilles? because that is the only book I can think of about two gay lovers that was a phenomenon among females. seems like a bit of a hasty generalization.

I think some women have either been traumatized by or generally just don't like the relationship between women and men. The physical power imbalance, expected gender roles, sexual discrepancies, and so on. Homosexual romance is to these women a safe space. I would believe that the men in these books either barely interact with women at all (safe) or have them as friends (positive and safe because non-sexual, also makes women feel like they can be valued by a man for something other than sex).

And of course many straight women are turned on by gay sex just like straight men are by lesbian.

Lacan on women not existing. Kristeva on "women" requiring abjection. Homosexual men's romance allows women to self-insert themselves as a "failed man" and yet experience penetrative abjection as an equal of a man OR to imagine herself as a failed man with a cock who penetrates a failed man ("woman.").

Werewolf porn is about the "woman" who knows she is a failed man confronting her own failure when "she" can imagine another, stronger, more powerful man penetrating "her" in "her" anus as "her" penis becomes erect. His wolf semen breeds "her", and his cock knots inside "her" rectum so that the cum seeks out her wolf arse-womb.

Seriously its just Lacan and Kristeva for fucks sake.

>Homosexual romance is to these women a safe space
Everything you said was true- this especially. Even in today's West where catcalling and such is frowned upon, being a woman and enduring the endless storm of male attention seems exhausting- I've seen how straight guys, even very smart and respectable ones, flip a switch immediately when a cute gal's around and suddenly make total fools of themselves, and what I've seen must be barely a percent of the full experience. I think women, generally, really do like men, but not the constant sexual battlefield they tend to bring with them, and any setting where the men are there but the war is not is automatically appealing. On the other hand they really dislike other women, way stronger than the ordinary dislike that builds between men, so their absence is a definite plus.
And men totally underestimate how aroused women are by gay sex; a number of them have admitted as much to me.

correct, though gayfrens will spam all sorts contrived of nonsense itt. women do not self insert by identifying with the protagonist, they do so as themselves.

This is a feminist talking point that is made up. Other women convinced women that men telling them they're pretty is "tiresome." Yes it's annoying to have disgusting, fat ugly men constantly tell you you're pretty, but it's a psyop
>>24539775
You're schizophrenic

Anon had it right: women like gay guys like men like lesbians. It's really that simple, the allure of same sex. Hell most straight women I know masturbate to girl on girl here and there.

For the last time, it's not when you are told you are pretty that is tiresome, its when you are talked about vulgarly and men talk about your boobs or ass. A lot of the time women aren't reporting men to HR for reading them sonnets about flowers, its a constant birage of vulgar commentary that starts to feel physically uncomfortable in a way you can't begin to understand in till a fat gay man who is much bigger than you starts saying you would look like a good dick-sucker at work, and winking that he would like to be in one room with you.

There's an large number of literature for women that is gay erotica. A lot of small presses make their money from this. It's also popular on ao3
Part of the reason is that girls from fanatically religious families are not allowed to have sex without being thrown out of their houses or honor killed so they can't relate to slutty sexually forward protagonist like the character from Sex and the City, but they can be a voyeur in a situation with two men

It's the equivalent of lesbian erotica
It's also particular popular because actual relationship with men are very risky for women; she could get killed if she chooses wrong or subjected to a life time of misery
Reading about two shota cuddling is safe and if it crosses into territory that disgusts her she can just close the novel

Samefagging here but you while I've never seen a guy talking crudely about a coworker's boobs/ass at work, I HAVE definitely seen women complaining about feeling "harassed" or creeped out when a man over 50 or anyone unattractive talks to them in a totally normal, friendly way. I'd like to know where the fuck you work where men are supposedly making crass comments about your ass all the time.
