I feel terrible when I spend all day on 4chan and don't read a single chapter of a book. But I can't help it, I'm addicted to this place. Quite literally. I have all the bad symptoms of addiction.
How do I leave 4chan and read (or do anything else for that matter other than wasting my time shitposting here for attention)?

If there's something you want to get done before the day is over, you gotta do it before anything else. Otherwise you'll make excuses for not doing it later in the day; e.g. being too tired, "deserving" a few minutes (aka 2 hours) break to browse the internet because you've been at your job or doing schoolwork, etc.

If it's a problem, why not read first thing in the morning or last thing at night? The latter is a great idea anyways, as it keeps you from staring into a screen right before sleep.

I listen to audiobooks while doing chores and walking. It’s not quality reading but better than nothing. Nice way to help you get a good level of familiarity with core works like Shakespeare if you listen a couple of times.

Set daily time limits for all social media. I started doing that and it's literally redirecting my interest to singular longer pieces of text. I think we have a finite amount of such energy to spend every day, so it's just a matter of using it right.
