You can be a savage and still understand the glaring hole in this argument. Other theologians cringe that it’s even used. It’s speaking down to the dumbest motherfuckers alive like some pajeet scam.

NTA but there are more religions than Christianity. If any other religion is true then Christians are also fucked.

Also, Christianity is not a monolith and there are tons of subgroups and cults. Maybe Orthodox are right which means Catholics go to hell.

If athiest, it begs the question of why "Christians right/wrong" is the only possibility. Atheists like to think they inhabit some belief-lacking neutral realm and from that vantage point Pascal's wager should include every Pagan and mud-hut religion as if they aren't refuted by the clear dissonance between what their gods are meant to do and the fact the cultures that worshipped them are extinct. If Christian, it's just a bad mindset. If you urge someone to convert on fear of Hell alone they're not being guided towards a genuine love of God. "But what about me, what happens to me, oh boy I sure hope nothing bad happens to me" is exactly the kind of egoism that Hell burns eternally.

Pascal's Wager sort of assumes that a person is even receptive to the idea that Christianity is real. Like if this is enough to make you convert, you were already 9/10ths a Christian anyway, because you already did the hard part of accepting the mountain of complete BS that is the Bible. You have no reason not to convert if you can read the bible and go "wow this is totally accurate and believable! This hell place sure sounds awful!"

Like, I don't believe in God, or in hell, at all, not even a little. Why would I be scared of the "possibility" of being wrong when that possibility is so vanishingly small as to be irrelevant? I have a better chance of becoming God myself than anything in the bible being true.

Ironically, Pascal himself was not the defacto Christian of his time like you'd commonly assume. He hated the Jesuits for one I believe, so of course there's stuff within his own beliefs others could point to as being "not a true Christian."

So you're not aware of Lettres provencales or have a passing knowledge of them.
Jesuits were not the master of the french church anyway, and people would definitely have been exposed to other views.

False dilemma. You don’t even need to involve other religions, though you should. Once you get done with all major religions you should divide by denominations since they claim to be exclusively correct. But don’t stop there, you have no justification for why minor religions can’t be right, or even now forgotten ones. Your surefire bet is now a wild gamble instead.

It’s a modern day spineless ecumenical christianity that pretends you can just handwave theology until all “christians” (what do you mean by that?) are all equally right and rewarded.
By doing that you’ve chosen a very modern and very dull theological interpretation. Christians have taken their disagreements seriously historically so I guess they were all wrong about it being a vital life or death matter which type of christian you are. Even within a denomination it’s often not clear that everyone gets to go to heaven. Some even explicitly limit the available spots.
Your only recourse is starting to stammer about “real christianity” which you will be unable to define, or we return to the spineless ecumenicalism by which anyone nominally “christian” wins. This is in line with a specific type of evangelicalism by which you need only (for instance) state you accept Christ as your savior and you immediately win the game of life.
Intent doesn’t matter, not sincerity, nor anything you do. If you accept Christ and then spend life raping nuns and children you are in heaven and the children are not.

This is a common problem these days with online meme christianity. They don’t actually believe anything of importance or think about their faith at all. They repost memes and that’s about it. They accept the label “christian” and have therefore won entry to heaven, probably.
Just a bunch of retards.
