Central Figure: Jesus is the founder and central figure of Christianity.

Son of God/God Incarnate: Most Christians believe Jesus is the incarnation of God, the second person of the Holy Trinity (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit). This means they believe he is both fully divine and fully human.

There were several people who claimed to be messiahs but Jesus is different in that he practiced non-violence whereas the rest of them were all trying to foment a rebellion.

One can take the Jesus vs Barabbas (Bar Abbas is literally son of God in Hebrew) as saying that the Jews are perpetually damned because they choose violent revolt instead of laying down their lives. They chose the wrong saviors or at least a Christian perspective which is built on death being more powerful than life would say that.

Tom Holland's Dominion book is good for this. The western world went from worshipping kings like Zeus who constantly sought power and self gratification, to worshiping a peasant who sacrificed himself to save others, dying in the most embarrassing manner possible for the time.
