I've always liked the entire story of Tiresias. It's both cool and, actually, pretty funny.

>be prophet of Apollo
>whack some snakes
>Hera randomly turns you into a woman
>you stay as a woman for seven years
>then get turned back into a man
>Zeus and Hera come to you
>ask you what's better, having sex as a man or as a woman
>say women are natural whores
>Hera chimps out HARD
>strikes you blind in her rage
>Zeus feels bad for you
>gives you the gift of prophecy as compensation for your troubles

I love stories where Zeus is actually a pretty nice guy. He's arguably the nicest of the gods, and he always seems like the only one of them who can stop being selfish long enough to take a care for the good of humanity.

Hermaphrodite.
>inb4 tranny
It's more a story about being creative in justice.
>Hermaphrodite is a fisherman
>one day on the beach he finds a beautiful woman bathing naked in the sea
>the obvious solution is to rape her
>woman is actually Aphrodite, goddess of beauty and lust
>Aphrodite turns Hermaphrodite into a woman so he can't rape her (oh, if the ancient Greeks could see the world today)
>Hermaphrodite goes back to his/her village and tries to resume a normal life as a woman, such as marrying a man and bearing his children
>sometime later Zeus and Hera have an argument about which sex gets to enjoy sex more
>Zeus says women have more pleasure, and Hera says men have more pleasure
>they ask Hermaphrodite, as he/she has experienced both
>Hermaphrodite says women experience superior sexual pleasure
>Hera is a cunt and so curses Hermaphrodite with blindness for contradicting her
>Zeus feels badly for this and summons his son, Apollo, a god of healing to cure Hermaphrodite's blindness
>Apollo concedes that he does not have the power to overrule the Queen of the Gods
>but Apollo is also a god of divination and prophecy
>Apollo gifts Hermaphrodite the ability to see even when blind
>Hermaphrodite lives out his/her days as a seer

I similarly like the myth of the son of the sun asking to drive the sun chariot for a day and crashing it and almost destroying the world causing the creation of several deserts from the scorching and an entire people scorched to have blackened skin.

Artists used to be plucked out of normal schooling at the age of 12 or so after showing some precociousness at their chosen medium, and trained with the intensity of a full-time job for their entire adolescence while having their food, shelter, etc. covered by wealthy benefactors.
Turns out that if you train at something with unbroken ferocity for an entire decade, you get pretty good at it.
