Read Wide Sargasso Sea and say that. I've read some of her earlier stuff like Voyage in the Dark and OPs pic and she was purposefully simplifying her diction and form to express the psychology of these downtrodden women (largely biographical) and the deprivation of mind it exacted.

I've been enjoying Silver Fox, she's the only one I watch. She had an interesting video essay on the decline of literacy.
Generally I don't watch too many youtubers though.
I got pretty irritated with how a lot of them don't seem to understand what they're reading and don't care to. Man Carrying Thing was one of them, I'll occasionally watch his stuff but I really hated his House of Leaves review because he completely misses the point and turns it into some political thing about misogyny.

Why do so many of these female booktubers live in such nice houses or huge apartments with expensive furtniture etc? Anyone else noticed this? Emma for instance looks to be living in a multi million $ mansion, granted she's one of the more popular channels with 400k subscribers, but even that is not nearly enough to be making that kind of money just from youtube ad revenue.
